Information Architecture
After finalizing that we wanted to create a mobile application with an optional smartwatch extension, we had to start thinking about what specific features we wanted in order to solve situations our users would regularly encounter. By creating a information architecture, we were able to understand the flow of our application and how each feature would fit together.
Creating this information architecture, which we did using LucidChart, was essential for not only the flow of our design, but understanding what we needed to design and prototype. We were able to see from this information architecture places where the user interacts with the design directly and allowed us to begin thinking about how these interactions would look in our paper prototypes.
